I now present, a realistic reenactment of how my bestie and his girlfriend met.

Based on a true story

[Warning this video could cause pregnancy]

its like the memory was extracted straight from my mind.

Child Abuse.

I talk about this at the end of the video but I wrote this song as a dedication to my mom and the struggles that she goes through on a day to day basis.  Hope you enjoy it.

Beat: Atmosphere-Always Coming Back Home

Lyrics:

She peers out the window and watches the rain slide/down the pane a reflection of her current frame of mind/ she closes her eyes and tries to actualize a paradigm of paradise a life without plight/ parents don’t fight and daddy tucks her in at night/ singin lullabies while her mommy kisses her good night/ (honk) she opens her eyes as the bus pulls up/ she wipes away the tears and gathers all of her stuff/ then walks out the door towards a fleeting relief/ the cold penetrates her chest and makes her weak in the knees/ she boards the bus as it drives up the street/ towards a haven escaping a place of forsaken evil/ at least for the time being she’s free to be a child/ bury the pain and mark it with a fake smile/ shes smart funny at the top of her class/ so why she’s always tired no one bothers/ to ask the bell rings the bottom line of the day/ to most children that bell is a license to play/ but to her that bell is sign of constraint/ to signify her return to a place that she hates/ she steps on the bus takes a seat in a space/ she closes her eyes and just bows her head and prays/ Lord protect me from the evils that await/ wait why do I pray you don’t hear me anyway

Refrain: We’re livin in a world full of evil/ filled with wicked people/ where corruption and immorality are nearly equal/ people actin on impulses proves lethal/ every corner proves venal/ if I you could extend one act of genial the world might be a little more peaceful

1:24

She could be an actress when she plays the part of mother/ shes left to fend for herself and her little brother/ she cooks and cleans and puts her brother to sleep/ at the same she just neglects her own needs/cause when she finally gets a moment she spends it doing homework/ in high hopes of abandoning a life full of torment/ her mom comes home scent drenched in liquor/ she wobbles to her daughter and tries to lean in kiss her/ misses/ and asks her why she didn’t finsish the dishes/ right before she passes out/ inches from the couch/ that means its about time for her to head to bed/ she climbs on her mattress and tucks herself in/ ready for a much deserved 4 hours of rest/ but just then the garage door opens/ she shuts eyes holds her breath/ as the steps get closer she pretends to be a sleep/ her door hinge creaks/ he walks in and doesn’t speak just closes the door careful not to make a peep carries out his horrid deed/ when its all over she lays and gently weeps/ till her eyelids grow heavy and she slowly falls asleep`

Refrain: We’re livin in a world full of evil/ filled with wicked people/ where corruption and immorality are nearly equal/ people actin on impulses proves lethal/ every corner proves venal/ if I you could extend one genial act the world might be more peaceful

2:26

The years roll by in the surrealist of images/ shes 16 now in a routine of indifference/ not much has changed everything remains the same/ only thing that changes is her rage internal hatred/ she bottles it up like a bottle of coke/ and after 16 years of shakin and that things about to blow/ she filled to the brim with the rawest of emotion/ the pain runs deeper than the belly of the ocean/ she concedes to the lowliest convictions/ her mind processes the plausibility of a notion/ she finds her self in the seamless combination of love and hatred/ a taste of rage feaigns motivation/ as grabs ahold of life by the handle instead/ walks up to his bed and carves a smile across his neck/ she realizes what shes done and begins to jet/ as her mom dials 911/ her minds say run run run/ shes running up the street as she begins to hear the sirens/ her mind blocks it out and all she hears is silence/ she closes her eyelids and smiles in the aftermath/ she finally feels wanted,  and thats a great feeling to have.

Chivalry is dead.
I hear this on a day to day basis while either at work, at the gym, on the subway (or at least i would, if i lived in New York) or at the local coffee shop.  I understand that yes, chivalry could probably almost be dead, like in a vegetative state struggling for life. I understand that women would prefer us men to embody the middle aged institution of knighthood and express our adoration through courtly love (courtney love?) and enchanting gestures.  What I also understand is that knights governed these acts of love towards dames, or in other words  women of rank, dignity, or a combination of both.  A lot of the women today would be stoned (probably) in medieval Europe for simply losing their virginity, (over and over again).  Many women use profanity like it’s a dialect of english. Conservative dressing isn’t a high priority of theirs but drugs are (no judgments, except maybe a lot).  To be objective, its definitely not fair of me to trash the percentage of women that forgot what being a lady is because there are still many who act cultured and elegant (thank you Melissa Licuanan and Catherine Zeta Jones) but in my defense, i’m awesome (what?).  In a modern era dames do not exist (except maybe 10 or 15 in the metropolitan San Diego area), so in a modern era knights do not exist and if knights do not exist, then chivalry can NOT exist! However, chivalry may be dead but gentlemanliness.. (it’s a real word, i swear) is certainly dying so take comfort in that.  I could also just be making up excuses because i did manage to find a dame and the most romantic thing i’ve told her is to make me a sandwich. go figure.

p.s. she never did by the way.
